PUBLIC POLICY PRODUCTIONS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Public Policy Productions, an independent production company under contract with Thirteen/WNET New York and PBS, seeks college graduates to fill full-time internship positions. Openings generally become available in January, May and September. Interns receive a small stipend.  Opportunities often exist for employment following the internship. Interns MUST be able to work full-time.

Public Policy Productions has produced 31 documentaries for national public television. Recently, the company released MONEY AND MEDICINE, which examines the medical, ethical, and financial challenges of containing runaway health care spending.

Interns are introduced to all phases of the production process. They conduct background research for programs in development, collect data, track down archival footage, log and digitize footage, and help create promotional and educational outreach materials. They also assist the Production Manager with various administrative tasks and serve as Production Assistants on local production shoots. Applicants must have strong organizational and writing skills. Although interns are supervised, they must be able to take initiative and work independently.

Located only 15 minutes from the George Washington Bridge in rustic Palisades, New York, Public Policy Productions operates from a completely renovated 200 year-old barn overlooking the Hudson River.

To apply, please send cover letter and resume to pppinfo@pppdocs.com or fax (845) 398-2620.
